Sneak Peak! Our Coastal Dining Room Updates

Hi friends, I hope you’re all having a great week! It’s hard to believe summer has come and gone! Thankfully we’re still enjoying gorgeous summery weather here in New England. I just love the drier September weather! Josh and I have been busy making some updates to the dining area in our home, so wanted to give you all a little sneak peak as what’s to come on the blog in the next few weeks!

Inspiration For Our Coastal Dining Room Updates

I created this mood board a couple of months back to help me make some decisions on our coastal dining room updates. My main motivation for the dining area update was to FINALLY get rid of the builder’s grade light that came with our house (which was never centered over our table), and to find larger artwork to better fit our wall space. As with most of our home projects, the dining room light and artwork update then spiraled into spontaneously adding molding to our dining area walls (does that ever happen to anyone else??). So I’ll be sharing a DIY guide to installing molding in the coming weeks as well! 🙂

Coastal Dining Room Updates

The rug, dining table, chairs and palm tree are items that already exist in our dining area, and that I love. So those are staying put! In fact, our dining room table is one of my most favorite pieces of furniture. Even after five years of owning it. I just adore the warm seadrift finish! Our current chairs are no longer stocked. However, these Linen Upholstered Dining Chairs are VERY similar.

Stay tuned to find out what pieces made it from this mood board to my own dining room! So that I can help, I’d love to know – what updates would you like to make to your own dining room? What items do you find the most difficult to shop for?
