Friday Favorites

Happy Friday everyone!! I hope you all had a wonderful week and are looking forward to some fun weekend plans! Sunday is supposed to rain here so I’m hoping to take advantage of the sunshine on Saturday and start a little spring clean-up in our yard. It’s crazy how many sticks and branches are covering our lawn from the winter storms that we got. So not necessarily a fun chore, but I always love how the yard looks after a good clean-up!

In this week’s Friday Favorites, you’ll find a mix of summery pieces for inside and outside of your home, as well as some warmer weather fashion staples. It’s difficult to pick my absolute favorite, but how cute are these Capri fish sandals??

Rattan Lidded Baskets

I love that these lidded rattan baskets come in three different sizes and can be used so many different ways! Use them as shelf decor, as planters, to hold Q-tips or cotton balls in a bathroom, or on any table where you need a little texture. I’m thinking I may need one in our living room to tuck away the TV remotes! 🙂

Striped Pima Robe

If you’ve never experienced pajamas from LAKE, put these on your list! Known for their super soft and cozy cotton, I had heard of the brand before but didn’t know much about them. When I was in Charleston, SC I stumbled upon one of their two brick-and-mortar shops (the other is in Atlanta) and that’s when my love of LAKE began. This blue and white striped robe (in the color “hydrangea”) is the perfect light spring robe, and it’s made of 100% pima cotton.

Capri Fish Sandals

Aren’t these Capri fish sandals just the cutest for summer by the coast? These are the pecan color, but they also come in an ivory color that I love too!

Chambray Shorts with Scallop Hem

OK, all of you know my love for scallops runs deep so naturally these adorable shorts from J.Crew Factory are at the top of my favorites list! Right now they are over 40% off and under $35 so they won’t get much cheaper than this! Snag them while all of the sizes are fully stocked!

Miller Sandal in Sea Shell Pink

Sandals in a color called “sea shell pink?” Of course I’m going to love them! In all seriousness, these patent leather Miller sandals are the perfect soft neutral that will go with almost any outfit! These sandals have a cushioned footbed, which for me is a requirement for any sandals that I splurge on.

Isla Guest Towels

As soon as I saw these embroidered pineapple linen hand towels, I knew that they’d make this week’s Friday Favorites. They will add such a fresh, summery look to your powder room! They come in a set of two, which is also perfect for dividing up and giving as two seperate hostess gifts. You could even add a nice soap to go along with it!

Teak Beach Chair

I’ve been keeping my eyes open for a beautiful teak beach chair since I plan on spending lots of time at the beach and our backyard this summer, but I found many to be on the flimsy side with max weight limit of 200lbs. Even though I’m well under 200lbs, I know plenty of men that might hover around that number and I don’t like to have to worry about which guests can feasibly sit where. I mean, does anyone really need that kind of awkward situation on their hands??!

So while this teak beach chair is definitely a splurge, the frame is solid teak wood with stainless steel hardware, it can hold up to 250lbs and the seat fabric is made of UV and water-resistant canvas. This is a chair that will stand the test of time, and I think it’s worth spending a little more upfront than to have to replace a chair every year or two because of shoddy construction or materials. I love this coastal blue color (how pretty would it also look set by a pool?!), but if you’re looking to save, the solid white color that is also available is priced lower than this print!

Devon Square Planter

I love the classic look of these Devon square planters, which come in indigo (shown here), white, black, espresso and green. I can not wait for flowers on our back deck and on front porch again, although most of us here in New England wait until mid-late May to plant annuals since there’s still a chance of frost in early May. What I love about these is that there’s a built-in watering system. I do not have a green thumb and I always seem to either over or under-water plants. With these planters, you simply fill the water reservoir once per week and it evenly distributes the water each day. Perfect for those busy weeks or when you’re away on vacation. They are made of polyethylene resin, and you don’t need to worry about these planters chipping, cracking, peeling or fading.

Striped Lumbar Pillow Cover

Who doesn’t love a good designer dupe? This 12″x20″ striped tassel pillow cover for just $17.99 is almost identical to Serena & Lily’s Surf Stripe Pillow Cover, but at a fraction of the cost! I’d recommend it with this 12’x20″ pillow insert. Normally I recommend sizing up on pillow inserts, but generally with lumbar pillows you can order the same size.

Decorative Clam Shell

These decorative clam shell bowls have become extremely popular in recent months, but some go for several hundred dollars, which is more than I’m willing to pay for a bowl that I might not use all year long. This clam shell bowl from Pottery Barn is a great option (moderately priced and good quality after seeing it in my local store!), and can be used in so many different spaces. On a coffee table, a media console, on the bottom shelf of an end table or nightstand, on a bookshelf, etc. I love that it’s a work of art on it’s own so you don’t even need to place anything inside of it!

Scallop Tray

I’ve been admiring this scallop side table for months, and was so excited to see this scallop tray in Serena & Lily’s new arrivals since I’m not in the market for a side table in my own home. Can’t you just picture this tray on a coffee table or kitchen island with a vase of fresh hydrangeas and a pretty coffee table book? It’s the perfect spring or summer touch for your home!
