Christmas Gift Ideas For Men

Hi everyone! Are you all feeling ready for the holiday season? I’ve heard from a lot of you that you need some gift ideas for the men in your life! I completely hear you – men can be notoriously difficult to shop for! I pulled together a quick Gift Guide for Men, which I hope is helpful! Within the guide, I included gifts that have been hits with my husband Josh, my brothers and brother in law over the years. Additionally, I’ve included some of my husband’s favorites that he’s purchased for himself!

For the BBQ & Meat Lover

If I know one thing to be true, men love food – especially anything centered around BBQ or steaks. My husband loves throwing a get-together in our backyard with friends to smoke meats or grill. It’s been something that they’ve done more often due to the pandemic since they can remain socially distanced outside.

In addition to a couple of the meat smokers, I included a sous vide. It’s one of my husband’s favorite kitchen gadgets and it cooks steak to perfection! He now always cooks our steaks using the sous vide and then finishes them in a cast iron pan to get a good final sear. However, you’ve been warned that the sous vide has slightly ruined our love for celebrating special occasions out at a fancy steakhouse. The steaks we cook at home now are just that good! To not mention, we get an amazing steak at a fraction of the cost!

Also, since most meats need a good salting and a layer of fresh ground pepper, I included the salt and pepper grinders that I bought my husband last year after he tested them in Williams Sonoma. The grinding mechanism is incredibly smooth and you can adjust the grind size which is really nice. My husband mentions at least once per month when preparing dinner how much he loves them.

For the Whiskey Lover

Whiskey has also sky-rocketed in popularity over the last few years (just as craft beer has). If the man you’re shopping for has an interest in whiskey, a whiskey-themed gift basket would be a really fun gift! I’ve included some of my husband’s favorites that he uses to make old fashioned cocktails including bitters, honey, Luxardo cherries and an ice ball tray.

I also included some other items to add to a gift basket including whiskey glasses, bourbon dark chocolate caramels, a bourbon cocktail recipe book as well as the engravable whiskey barrel that I gifted my husband for our five year wedding anniversary (the traditional gift for 5 years is wood so it was perfect for him). Add a good bottle of whiskey (Blanton’s, Elijah Craig, Whistle Pig or Woodford Reserve are a few great choices), and you’ll have one happy man!

For the Fitness Enthusiast

If the guy you’re shopping for is into fitness, I’ve included some of the items my husband and I use the most in our small home gym. We thankfully set up our gym prior to the pandemic and it’s gotten so much use! In fact it’s worked so well for us that neither my husband or I are likely to ever return to our local gym!  I also included one of my husband’s favorite moisture-wicking tops and ultra cozy sherpa-lined hoodie. When it comes to wireless earbuds, I swear by Bose for both durability and sound quality. These ones that I’ve included are also noise cancelling which is must-have feature for me when working or flying.

For the Coffee Lover

While this one is more of a splurge or group gift, I also can’t say enough good things about our Breville espresso machine – and the almost 9K reviews definitely don’t lie! My husband actually surprised me with it a couple of years ago and I can count on one hand how many times we’ve bought coffee out since buying it. So while it does come with a price tag, it’s more than paid for itself at this point given how much we used to spend on coffee on a weekly basis. Plus it’s always fun to play barista, especially when we have guests over! 🙂

If cold-brew coffee is more of his thing, we love our cold brew coffee maker which is under $25. It couldn’t be easier to use either – you add your grounds to the infuser, add cold water to the pitcher, insert the infuser into the pitcher and let it sit overnight. Makes a nice strong cup of cold brew coffee!

For the Man in Need of a Better Skincare Routine

Last, if the men in your life could stand to upgrade their skincare routine, take a look at the wet shave set and the Kiehl’s products I included. My husband is not a product guy whatsoever. However, I introduced him to Kiehl’s facial fuel moisturizer and their razor burn relief product a couple of years ago. He’s been hooked ever since! I also included the old school wet shave set that he bought himself last year which he absolutely raves about (it’s the little things in life, right?!). He says it gives him the smoothest shave!

I hope you found these Christmas gift ideas for men helpful! Please also feel free to forward this gift guide on to anyone else who could use a hand with shopping ideas.
